Down the rabbit hole of insanity

This is what insanity looks like...

I like polka music. It is fun and I grew up in a very German immigrant community. This just makes me boggle though......

No wimp Wednesday!!

Ahhh the good old days!!

I had the same work out program in the early 90's!

What is old is new again.

So I love the internet. It has so many fun things to do. I am not talking about those social networking sites and their lame @$$ games (don’t sue me Mark Z you know that those games are lame). I am talking about the DIY sites (DIY=Do It Yourself). Learning about Infusions? Go online and look at other people’s recipes and see what worked and didn’t work for them. Want to learn how to play the banjo? Go online and watch a video (by the way I recommend Hunter Robertson’s video. The guy is awesome!). Want to make an amplifier for your wife’s iPhone that uses zero power? Try this! I beta tested a rough version and I am now building an even better one. The fact of the matter is the internet is good for so many other things than just killing brain cells and putting boobs up on the screen. So the big question is this…how do we teach these kids that the internet is more than just social networking, games, porn, and quick inaccurate answers to their homework? I look at the kids in our house and am amazed at how little they use the internet except for the inane purposes listed above. I mean one kid want to start hosting a server for a game and blah, blah, blah. He has the knowledge to do it but not the skill to manage it. Also he is baffled that he can job hunt online. Really? Yes. I am not lying.
The problem is that all the other shiny things get them going “Ooooooooo” and my favorite “Aaaaaaah”. So what happens is they look at shiny all day and not at all the other wonderful stuff that they could look at. Like…JOB APPLICATIONS. Or….HOW TO SWEEP, WASH DISHES, AND MAINTAINING YOU PERSONAL HYGENE. So support your internet everyone. …and get a job for crying out loud!

Always learning!

So there has been a lot of venting going on but you know what? I like this gent! He is learning and improving and trying new things and he isn't afraid to put it out there on the internet. Good job zepablo!
Now the reason I found that was because I was looking for this today and got the titles confused...
Every time I hear Hunter rip it up on the banjo I hear a modified quote from the Reverend in Kill Bill 2... Hunter...he's the man.

My Brother-In-Law needs to cover this...
